Fireworks

I found a ton of fireworks in the garage. I knew there were some in there. But, I had no idea that there were so many. Captain Awesome decided that we should light them in the alley. And that we should throw the kiddos in the back of the truck so they didn't get to close. Despite the fact that the back of his truck was full of branches. His plan worked really well.

 Then we went to the fireworks display in town. After much debate we eventually found a great place. And I set up the buffet for the kiddos;) Its interesting that in these types of photos Big Dog always has his feet up in the air and is munching on a bag of popcorn.

More Fourth of July Fun

We went to the Crow family acreage;)

 The kiddos enjoyed the firecrackers. Captain Awesome enjoyed the beer. None of these things were provided by us. I felt pretty guilty. Talk about a bunch of freeloaders.

 GH and Big Dog loved playing in the train. Mr. Crow put smoke bombs in the stack. How cool is that?

 Then when he  went to start the fire he needed helpers. So he asked for people who were small and who don't know any better. Cutie Pie enthusiastically spoke up saying "That's me."

The kiddos also enjoyed making smores. What a fun day:)

enjoying the sweet things in life and be thankful for being born in such a wonderful place. (After we had these drinks Cutie Pie said, "Thank you Jesus for this special day." She also wanted to do something special for George Washington. I told her I'm sure George Washington is smiling down from heaven every time he sees someone celebrating Independence Day.

Then again perhaps George Washington doesn't care about such matters now that he is aware of the vastness of time. Oh well. Whatever!) God bless America land.

the audacity

Only Shelia would have the nerve to have her Fourth of July party on Canada Day. That's the kind of in your face attitude we need to have when dealing with our neighbors to the north. They think they are all special because they have a special day too. Well we're not celebrating it here. That's right! Not here in Americaland. We are celebrating our independence all weekend long.

We are celebrating by eating way too much, hanging out in Uncle Aaron's hammock

 and by blowing a bunch of stuff up. That's what makes us Americans:)

 GH wanted to help the big kids with the bigger firecrackers. But, Aunt Crys convinced him stomping on snaps was pretty cool too.

 Big Dog didn't want to have anything to do with the firecrackers until we were getting ready to leave.

 I do have other pictures but certain people kept sneaking into the frames;D Kind of like those sneaky Canadians who keep crossing the border. Go back to Canadaland and celebrate your little day;)
