It rained the other day. So our sidewalk was clean......we hate that. So we got to work with sidewalk paint
and alphabet lily pads. This time I used them to introduce cursive letters to Cutie Pie. Apparently they teach cursive in third grade. I hate cursive. So I had to get a print off to make sure I was writing them correctly;D I wish I was joking but I'm not. Cursive seems so unnecessary especially with advancements in technology. But, it does look pretty doesn't it? The only cursive I ever use is when I sign my name to checks or legal stuff. My signature is not so pretty:) So in my opinion cursive is only a slightly important skill to aquire;D
We also started the Tour of Parks. I hope it is more successful than last year.
You might want to check with the school about what kind of cursive they teach. There's a newer less loopy version that you'd never know about unless you taught handwriting, which I did, when I was a teacher a million (or almost ten!) years ago. :)
