We went to a Josh's surprise 30th birthday party last night. His wife planned an incredible party. She rented a hall, DJ, open bar, buffet, and two awesome cakes. It was much better than the 30th birthday party I threw for Captain Awesome. Lucky for me that his 30th birthday party was so long ago that he doesn't even remember it.
Right about now you might be asking yourself who are the
suckers incredibly patient and loving people watching our kids while we were out partying? We were so lucky to have Liz and Tommy come over. Our kiddos love them.
Tommy thinks my collection of rolling pins is really funny. He jokes that I have an arsenal of them so I can whack Captain Awesome in the head when he does something wrong. He's so right. I'm always trying to find a reason. But, search no more
Tommy made up several reasons and put them on notes for me. Isn't that helpful? Here are the reasons:
* Rick pretends he doesn't hear me
* Rick forgets to pick up the kids from school
* No reason at all
* Rick out all night
* Rick puts the Huskers before anniversary
* Rick says his mom cooks better than me.
